Marissa Ruben is an actor and writer with a focus on female shame-resilience through the lens of absurdism and physical comedy.

Marissa was recently seen in Nate Dushku's upcoming feature Last Hand, The Premiere (comedy feature), True Dark (thriller feature), and various award-winning short films.
​
Her personal film work has been recognized by the Broad Humor Film Festival, Toronto International Women’s Film Festival, Big Apple Film Festival Summer Short Film Series, Venice Shorts, NYU Tisch Fusion Film Festival, Athens International Monthly Art Film Festival, and Brazil Monthly Independent Film Festival.

Theater credits include: Mrs. Stern Wanders the Prussian State Library (59E59), ALIEN/NATION (Williamstown Theatre Festival), The Last Hunter (Williamstown Theatre Festival), YANKEES (Corkscrew Theater Festival), Romeo and Juliet (NYU’s The Classical Studio), Merchant of Venice (NYU’s The Classical Studio), Runaways (NYU’s The New Studio on Broadway), Crimson (Playwrights Horizons).

Marissa is a proud alum of the Nine Muses Lab Fellowship at Nine Muses Entertainment under the mentorship of Bryce Dallas Howard.

Marissa holds a B.F.A. in Drama from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
